Comrades,
The great news today is that we will participate in the People's World writing seminar in Chicago this October! It will be awesome to work with comrades from all over the country and learn from the people who made "The Daily Worker" a reality. Thank you so much to the nonprofit "People Before Profits" for making it possible.

Tierra y Libertad
Comrades,
I can not wait until Thursday evening for the opportunity to discuss, one of the finest moments of the CPUSA, the Abraham Lincoln brigade with fellow Marxists. Personally, I find the narrative (insert appropriately sufficient qualifier for "narrative" to satisfy whatever self-conscious theoretical paradigm you subscribe to) of the Spanish Civil War (sweeping and specific) to be among the most epic and romantic of texts. After all, "agrupemonos todos en la lucha final."
No Pasaran!

The Marxist Student Union at the Student Involvement Fair
Comrades,
Dozens of students expressed interest in the Marxist Student Union and added their names to the list of Memphians who want to learn more about Marxism and its role in the workers' final struggle. Many visitors showed their solidarity by wearing one of the "Capitalism Sucks" buttons provided by the Young Communist League. Fliers were handed out for the UCW-CWA and we had the chance to mention our support of Lee Harris' campaign for City Council to more than one University of Memphis Student. Many thanks to everyone who made the event possible (including the Progressive Student Alliance for their continuing camaraderie), and a warm welcome to all of our new comrades we met today.
